The Village Fine Arts Association (VFAA) holds its monthly meetings with a commitment to fostering a vibrant artistic community. Taking place on the fourth Wednesday of every month from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm, these gatherings serve as a hub for local artists and art enthusiasts alike.
At each meeting, we are privileged to host a distinguished local artist as our guest speaker. From seasoned professionals to emerging talents, these artists share their experiences, insights, and inspirations with the attendees. The guest speaker sessions typically run from 7:00 pm to 7:30 pm, offering a valuable opportunity for our community to learn from and engage with diverse artistic perspectives.
Following the guest speaker presentation, we take a brief break to socialize, network, and cast our votes for the Artist of the Year Award. This award recognizes outstanding contributions to the local art scene and is eagerly anticipated by our members. The camaraderie and exchange of ideas during this intermission further enrich the meeting experience.
Around 7:40 pm, the Village Fine Arts Association convenes its formal meeting. Here, members delve into various topics relevant to the local art community, including upcoming events, workshops, classes, and collaborative projects. These discussions provide a platform for members to voice their ideas, share their artistic endeavors, and contribute to the growth and vitality of our artistic community.

Artist’s of the Year
The Artist of the Year Competition is a highlight of our annual calendar, eagerly anticipated by members of the Village Fine Arts Association. At each monthly meeting, members have the opportunity to showcase their creativity by bringing up to two pieces of their own artwork for display. During the meeting, attendees cast their votes for their favorite pieces, with even our guest speaker participating in the selection process. Throughout the year, these votes are tallied, culminating in the announcement of the winners at our much-celebrated annual holiday party. This competition not only recognizes and honors the outstanding artistic talent within our community but also fosters a sense of camaraderie and appreciation for the diverse range of artistic expressions among our members.
