Kids Classes

Friday Mornings 9:30-10:30am (click the register button to see date options)

Ages 2-5 years old. Parent-Tot Art Class. CREATE and PLAY. We will have different stations for children to choose from. There will be both planned art projects stations and open-ended creation stations. Please dress for mess! Adult stays with child for duration of class. Register for each child who will be attending.

Saturday Mornings 10-11:30am (9/28, 10/12, 10/26, 11/9, 11/23, 12/7)

Grades: 2-5. Your child will explore different drawing and painting techniques in this 6 week class. Supply list will be provided by the instructor 2 weeks before the first class. Your instructor, Debby Warner McRae, is a retired Huron Valley elementary art teacher, certified K-12.

Looking for a relaxed studio space to create and connect with others your age? Come join our tween art community (ages 10-12)! Various art mediums offered to freely create including, alcohol-based markers, micron pens, pastels, mixed media collage, watercolor, acrylic paint, and more! This club will be evolving along with its members! A sketch book is recommended, and all other materials will be provided.

2 dates to choose from:

December 15th or 19th, 6:30pm

You will learn the basics in cookie decorating. This class comes with all supplies. You will make 1 Santa, 1 Mrs. Claus, 1 Rudolph, 1 Chocolate Chip Cookie, 1 Carrot, 1 Glass of Milk. Family Friendly - under age 12 should be accompanied by paid adult. Instructor: Rebecca Schroeder, That Bakery LLC

January 2 & 3 10am-1pm

In this art camp your child will crate castles, dragons, Kings, Queens & more. This camp is geared towards grades 2nd-7th. Your child will be working with a variety of differnt materials. This camp will be taught by Ms. Debby Warner McRae (a certified K-12 art teacher with 26+ years experience).

December 31st 6-10pm $65

We are super excited to partner with Glow Out Parties to bring you an epic glow in the dark party! Kids will have the opportunity to make a glow in the dark painting inside the black light tent as well as other crafts. There will be food, blinking foam glow sticks, a balloon drop, karaoke and more! Ages 7-13 years old (5 & 6 year olds may attend if they are registering with an older sibling). Bring a labeled water bottle. If allergy concerns, please pack own dinner. K-12 Certified Art Instructor: Natalie Assemany

April 27th, 10:00am

Please join us in the Spring to create this super cute Garden Owl Yard Art! 

All materials will be provided to make your own upcycled garden owl out of glass.  Glass plates are approx. 10- 11" tall and 6" wide and you will have a variety of glass gem color combinations to create with.  Display in your garden on a metal stake that you can find at any hardware store (but not necessary to bring to class with you)  An attachment on the reverse side of your owl will allow you to insert onto the metal stake.

Instructor Laurie, with Kiss My Glass, will show you step-by-step how to assemble during this instructional course. Your project will be made using an outdoor-safe adhesive and will be a take home craft.  Please be sure to bring a box and some packaging with you per instructions below.

This class is appropriate for ages 16+ (10+ ok when accompanied by a paid adult).

Important Information:

PLEASE BRING A BOX (approx. 12" x 15" wide x 5" deep), AND SEVERAL "PACKAGING PAPER/NEWSPAPER" TO PROP UP YOUR PROJECT INSIDE THE BOX so you can take it home safely to dry/set. PLEASE KEEP THESE ITEMS IN YOUR CAR UNTIL THE END OF THE CLASS.

Wednesdays from 10am-11:30am. Fall term will begin September 25th and go through December 18th (art show day). No class on 10/30 or 11/27. This is an 11 week course covering elementary art curriculum (for kids in grades K-5th). Supply list will be provided 1 week prior to class (2 students could share most supplies).
